Why..? Well, no one makes Android tablets quite the way Samsung does. Just as Apple release new devices each year, so does Samsung and last month saw Samsung release its current flagship Android tablets for 2023.

At Tablet Rentals, we are always curious to see what the flagship Android tablet device will be. In 2023 Samsung introduced its Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 tablet range. Last month (February 2023), Samsung launched three new flagship tablets; the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra tablets.
We received our first batch of Samsung S8 tablets and we were immediately impressed. First impressions – it truly is a stunning compact device which really looks the part. We have our stock of Samsung S8 Galaxy Tab tablets in Graphite and they look fantastic.
Running on Android 12, the S8 Galaxy Tab is an 11’ display with a 2560×1600 resolution and is a standard USB-C tablet. It has a beautiful high-resolution LCD display, it’s light (1.1 lbs) and comes with 128GB storage and above.
Whilst it doesn’t have its own internal processor like Apple’s M2/M3 chip, the Samsung S8 tablet does have an excellent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor. Moreover, the battery life is superb (8,000mAh) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The sound quality is really impressive and our Tablet Rentals team instantly cranked up Ibiza Global Radio on the Samsung S8 Tab just to double-check how impressive the sound quality is..!!
This is the successor to 2020’s Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 which was released 3 years ago in 2020 so the release of the S8 Galaxy Tab is timely. Surprisingly, for a tablet the camera is excellent. On the front side is a 12MP selfie camera and there is a 13MP main camera and a 6MP ultrawide camera as well.
Video-wise, the tablet is also very good with the option to film 4K video (30fps) which is perfect for users who use the video function for calls/family and friends etc.
Whilst it has become common not to provide a charger with the tablet, Samsung has included the S Pen with its Samsung S8 Galaxy Tab, which our Tablet Rentals team applauds Samsung for.
