The Ultra range of smartphones has, for our Tablet Rentals team, been the stand-out Android smartphones on the entire market and the S23 Ultra definitely fits into this category.
The S23 Ultra has a faster memory, bigger storage, a more efficient battery and a new 200MP main camera hidden behind a familiar design.
It’s a sturdier build compared to the S22 Ultra and Samsung’s S23 Ultra is a substantial upgrade.
The majority of our team aren’t huge fans of the square-edged design – we much prefer the rounder, smooth smartphone design of the Samsung S22, S23 and S24, but for Ultra fans this is largely irrelevant.
Cameras are one area where Samsung has allowed the Ultra smartphone to stand out.
While the 12MP ultrawide and dual 3x and 10x 10MP telephoto sensors on the back of the S23 Ultra are familiar, Samsung has replaced the primary 108MP resolution sensor (seen on previous Samsung Ultra phone hire) with a huge 200MP primary camera, which offers a 16-to-1 pixel-binning.
This advance in the S23 Ultra upgrades all sots from general photo through to portraits and video work for creative content usage. The camera really is phenomenal and in our humble opinion, the S23 Ultra allows users to have the ability to work with shots at up to 50MP captured in Expert RAW mode.
