Don’t mention it too loudly, but our Tablet Rentals office still adores the S22 Ultra. It’s a classy smartphone and whilst we liked the S21 Ultra, the improvement in the S22 Ultra is extremely noticeable and it makes the S22 Ultra a phenomenal smartphone.
Tablet Rentals has been hiring Android phones out for over 12 years, but the release of the S22 Ultra was probably the first time collectively as an office we’ve been in awe of an Android Samsung smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a sleek design with a much brighter stunning display and huge camera upgrades to make it a top all-round smartphone.
The camera is superb; really impressive and the zoom feature element alone is exceptional. Colours are rich and vibrant and detail is pin-sharp with fantastic detail.
The S22 Ultra uses a 108-megapixel sensor on the back with an f/1.8 lens and there’s a 12MP ultra wide (f/2.2, 120-degree field of view) and a duo of 10-megapixel telephoto cameras. One of these packs 3x optical zoom, while the other ups it to 10x and around the front, there’s a 40-megapixel selfie camera, which is very good and there’s a good low-light camera performance.
Meanwhile, the impressive battery life means the Galaxy S22 Ultra performs consistently well across every category.
