Back in the day (2012) it was the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1’) as well as the mini Tab 2 version (7’). How time has passed and how much change there has been in 12 years!
As we await the release of Samsung’s latest devices (February 2025), it is always interesting to see where Samsung go next.
The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a great example of how far Samsung has come with its features, its style, and even its durability. It’s a 10.9’ tablet, very slick and has a more modern design than previous version which our team at Tablet Rentals gives the thumbs up to.
Being part of the ‘S’ range means it’s a premium Android tablet and is loaded with features that make multitasking a breeze. The screen is extremely bright and it’s a good clear screen. It’s not a chunky device but it is thicker than the iPad 10.9’ for example and it’s noticeable as it’s heavier.
It doesn’t have power to match the iPad Air, but it does so much more that you may not notice as you get One UI made for easy multitasking.
The Tab S9 FE Plus is designed to be held in landscape orientation, which puts the selfie camera in the middle of the top bezel, and at Tablet Rentals we prefer this to portrait,
The S9FE comes with a single 8 MP, (wide) main camera as well as a 12 MP, (ultrawide) selfie camera. It’s surprisingly very good to shoot 4K video with at 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps.
It has excellent battery life and like all the major Samsung Android tablets, it is water and dust resistant with IP68 ratings. One area we feel Samsung could improve in February 2025 is the chipset.
The Samsung 9FE Tablet uses a Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset, the same processor as found in some bargain Galaxy smartphones. It isn’t bad, but you won’t be editing professional video on this tablet. It is a tablet that works with bigger storage and many more features at a Pro level than you would expect.
